How To Recycle Your True Gemini Cosmetic Packaging

Being an environmentally conscious brand is extremely important to us, that is why when coming up with our packaging we wanted the elements of our products to be easily recyclable.

For starters our bottles are made from glass, what's great about that is glass is 100% recyclable. Glass can be melted down and made into many different forms from drinking glasses to glass fiber. When the glass is taken to a manufacturing or recycling plant, it is broken up into smaller pieces. The broken pieces are crushed, sorted, cleaned, and prepared to be mixed with other raw materials like soda ash and sand. The raw materials and glass pieces are melted in a furnace and then shaped into molds to make new bottles of different colors and sizes. New recycled bottles and jars are made in this way.

How to prepare your glass bottle for being recycled:

STEP 1: Make sure all residual product is extracted from the bottle by cleaning the interior and exterior of the bottle. You can do this by boiling your glass bottles or rinsing them thoroughly before putting them into the recycle bin.

STEP 2: As for the pump of the bottle, please remove any small coils or springs from the pump before putting your pump into the recycling bin. If those elements aren't removed then the pump won't be able to be properly recycled. 

STEP 3: The boxes are the easiest part of the equation and simply just need to be broken down and placed into your recycling bin.
